    Best bait for shooting rats

What do you think is the Best bait for shooting rats.
I have been using peanut butter mixed with BBQ sauce mixed with crushed peanuts, which was working well but not any more.

The best bait is whatever's drawn them in to the area in the first place.
You can certainly enhance or modify it a bit, but rats are smart & quick learners,
they will be wary of a new bait, and after shooting a few they will again become very wary & might change their feeding pattern, unless there are huge number & they need to risk it to get any food.

Cheap choccy spread, but spread onto / into a breeze block. Keeps them at it.

    Liquidised sweetcorn also works well.

Bait station and bait. Garden bird table. The bird food mix contains everything a.rat wants, so much so that around my daughter's road, they've had little note's pushed through their letter boxes asking not to feed the birds due to increased garden rat sightings.

If the peanut butter has failed Id go chocolate spread or even simply a slice of bread soaked with water so they dont run off with it, squirty tomato sauce works to
