Sitting at 10.6 now so maybe it's in the fabled sweet spot

Hopefully just low enough to not be flippy and still fast enough to be crisp

Still a nice flat trajectory and a greatly reduced recoil for the loss of only around 30 fps

Yep; sounding nice and sweet. Comfortably under, too, so peace of mind.

I hope Pauly's building up to his big day!

    Absolutely, Pete; fully agree.

Yes, Carl, kids are most welcome. It's an all-inclusive, family-friendly atmosphere.. Are they of shooting age? As long as they're safe etc., all good.

It'd be great to finally get to meet you. Are you keeping those monster killer Rolands at bay?

That thread provided some excellent entertainment all those years ago.

I'm hoping for reduced recoil, it's short stroked but still gave a bit of a "thwack", the one preload washer I removed has dropped the power by 2 ft/lb !

The HW 45 should be getting it's TBT kit installed soon for a trip to the range It could do with a red dot or scope tbh.

Yep, sometimes short-stroking certain guns might not be the best idea, due to having to compress the swept volume quicker, especially if chasing "higher" power levels. However, with the 95, I feel that you have the luxury of having such a long stroke as standard means you can reduce it whilst not compromising anything, especially if you set it for lower power. Exactly what you've done, so should be really good.

I've only ever heard good things about Nick's kits for the 45, so should be really good also. Must admit, though, I'm in two minds about whether to fit any sort of "optics" to pistols. They might make it easier for aiming in some situations, but I think I prefer the lower centre of gravity and the purity of looks of opens. If you were to be tempted, be careful on the mount sizes, as I'm pretty sure I've read before that they're not the "standard" dovetail width.

Hoping to get to the range this weekend & see how the 95 is, if the weather is kind.

I've got a decent red dot on a Crosman 2240 (had to as the open sights wouldn't zero) it's tiny & makes it possible to be a lot more accurate, but then it hasn't got the cocking action of a 45.

Not sure if it's an age thing, but open sights seem difficult to focus on. Don't recall it being a problem shooting the heads off matches with my Relum Tornado when I was no'but a lad.

Before we say " yes kids are allowed," how many?
    Yours or bus full?

    Only joking of course.
Yes kids are welcome. If they are shooting then they will need supervision on the range unless they are expert marksman.

Children under 14 must be supervised at all times and not left alone with a firearm.

My daughter made her Bash debut at six months old - and still shoots most Sundays with me.
My younger son, however, still can't be arsed to attend. He's far too busy playing Roblox. ( Of which I have no forum friendly comment to offer ).

Everyone of us that attend is a ‘kid’ of some kind - mentally anyway

You’ll love it Carl, sadly I can’t attend this one but would love to have met you since I so enjoyed your rat stalking saga a few years back that kept us all entertained and on the edge of our seats. Hopefully you’ll return in September and we can catch up then.
