I'm wondering if that new seal might actually be really tight? How did it feel when pushing the piston in? Would you also guess this or suspect leakage more? Is the loading tap sealing okay?
Is there a chance that the rearsight is causing the point of impact issue?
Great to hear the 45 is pleasing.:![]()

I travel alone
One sleep to go. Come on!!!!
The piston moves quite easily, the loading tap seems very good, it's the right size for the pellets too (seen one on AGF that pellets just fall through ) . It's the violent shot cycle that makes me think it's not sealing .
The rear diopter sight is a very good one I don't think it's that, has more adjustment than either a scope or opens. The front of the barrel was rusty when I got it & I removed the rust & applied several coats of Abbey bluing gel, I think it may be effecting the crown.
I wasn't going to bring it to the bash after what happened at the range on Sunday, but now I'm thinking there wouldn't be a better place to get some input / answers. I'll give the crown a quick tickle first with a spot of grinding paste.
defo sort out the shot cycle. As you push the piston down, does it get tighter / looser at any point ?
Also see if you can rod a pellet through the barrel (thru the cylinder / tap), see if that gets loose anywhere
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
