I'm still not 100 % sure I can make this bash despite suddenly being able to book the Friday off as a driver has cancelled his holiday.

There is a large brick empty chamber the size of a very large & deep double wardrobe in our dining room, it used to house some sort of oil fired space heater & the wife hates it.

So yesterday I started to take the front out with a view to cutting the sides down & turning whats left it to a cupboard & shelves feature thingy. I got several rows of bricks out when I noticed that two joists sat on this brickwork, well only just sat on it, by 3/4 of an inch

Two bits of 4 x2 were promptly stuffed under said joists, but I need to have this sorted asap

Some heavy duty metal work is on the cards, fortunately you can order suitable steel online now, looks like the 230mm angle grinder & welding kit are coming out after a long hiatus. Hopefully I can get this done this weekend.

On another note I managed to go to Pickering & not go and buy the really nice second hand .22 HW 35 they have, I'm quite shocked at my self control

I think its looking like a no go for me sadly. My mums op is all set to go ahead on Tuesday will her being released from hospital Friday or Saturday. so, i will have to say have a really great one chaps and see you next year!!!

Haha! Been awake for hours.

Was keeping out of the way of 'er indoors. She and the lad have gone now. He's in a re-enactment group and they're at the Robin Hood Festival at Sherwood Forest. Although it would have been nice to go, I can now have a leisurely day here (just a couple of chores to do) and I'll be having a play with the gas rams.
