Kempton Photos from 1st Sept 2024

A Huge thank you to Binners and his team for yet another excellent fair.

There was certainly lots to see as most tastes were catered for, whether you like vintage, classic or more modern airguns. Antique firearm collectors were well catered for too, as were militaria collectors.

There were certainly some highlights in terms of vintage airguns. The cased BSA standard from C.1913 would make a perfect centrepiece for any vintage BSA collection, especially as it came fitted with BSA target sights and there was a box of Adder pellets in the box. Another very rare boxed rifle was a Giffard that Binners had on his stall - I haven't seen many boxed Giffards on my travels.

There were plenty of CO2 replicas and collectable pellets, which I always like to rummage through. I came away with a box of Cock Brand pellets and remember Dennis Hiller having some of these Pakistani pellets on his mailings decades ago.

Talking of pellets, the Kempton branded pellets were selling well throughout the day and the great thing is all proceeds from the profit on these pellets were going to the Brain Tumour charity this September fair promoted. Binners will be along later no doubt to confirm how much was raised but thank you for those that supported the charity by donating or buying pellets. I think Josie sold most of the stock Binners bought!

Anyway, here's a link to photos from the fair. Here's what you could have bought!

Lovely photos - must make it over one day…

Good grief. A LSW. Brings back horrible memories of coming second in a competition in Wales many years ago - cadet GP, SA 80 and the LSW. Falling plate. Dropped the last shot with that stupid gun.

You're very welcome. I enjoy taking them and have a secret fear that one day, they'll come out all blurred!

Hi John, thanks for posting the photos, I couldn't make it today, so it's good to see what at the show today.

Regarding the Cock pellets, can you imagine if they did round balls as well

LOL! I think the ones Dennis Hiller had were called British Cock. How's that for patriotism?

Thanks for posting the photos John and well done once again to Binners and his team for organising this great event with the charitable element representing shooting and gun collecting in a more favourable light while making a generous donation to those perhaps less fortunate than ourselves.

Hi John, great photos once again, and to all that helped to raise the £1500 for such a good cause.
