I've no idea what my timings would be without knowing a definate lift and how that stair situation would be worked out as even if I were to brave it it may not be ok on their insurance.
I can always carry food if not around mealtime etc, the newer field Jacket combined with the combat trousers means I can move kit to pockets to balance weight, Guns just need an idea of whats on range as I can bring and share an assortment of types with the exception of PCP currently.

It's mainly stands with paper targets and a few steel ones to plink at.

As Dean had explained, the issue for those with mobility issues will be negotiating the stairs. It's a great venue, but I'll be travelling light, ie one rifle and pellets, so as to easily carry everything up in one go.

I will do my best to come for the day and early evening.
Would you rather us try and look at alternative dates, Neil?

I'm mindful of Paul's suggestion of trying to avoid horse racing dates, as these might affect hotel availability, but your presence is very much required and I'm sure everyone will be happy to be flexible to try and accommodate this.

I think Brian said the last session finishes at 17.15 on a Saturday.

Be lovely if you can join us, Mike.

As Paul says, space won't be an issue. We'll have nine lanes booked to us but nobody's going to be shooting all day, non-stop. Although we're at a different venue, I guess the feel for many of us will be very similar to that at The Bash, with plenty of time spent nattering etc.

It's on the top floor of an old mill, I think it's the equivalent of the fifth floor. I'm thinking my .177 HW97, .25 Hatty 55, and the Sirocco with it's .22 barrel if I can fix it, and two hundred weight of pellets in the hope of hitting anything

I'm on the North Norfolk coast in a nice cottage, weather is as good as it possibly could be at this time of year. Unfortunately I've somehow gotten through nearly all of my weeks supply of wine There's going to be a very high tide later this week, we are just above previous flood levels

We just had a week camping near Horning/Wroxham. Class weather. Love that area, get there nearly every year at some stage.

Second time here for us, I'd move here if I won the lottery lol. Just got back from a long walk along the sand dunes, blue sky & it's perfect.

If you say so then I might just go and buy a bottle, or maybe two

Even if we can negotiate them it probably is best they check with their insurance as it can flag a fire safety risk, last thing we want is a good range getting in trouble.

If someones able and willing would they mind snapping a photo or videoing the stairs in question, that way I can figure out well ahead of time if I can get up and down them safely even if my kits transported by someone else.
Currently I have 2 bags and one Pistol case, I'm gonna sort a collection post soon so if someone has a thought of ooooo I'd like a look at that let me know and I'll consider bringing it, the AK and MP7 are both Airsoft so may not be welcome on range but if they are they are Automatics so may bring a laugh.

Hopefully no harm done and the scumbag was thwarted in time, Paul.

Keep enjoying your time away. Sounds excellent and you've really dropped on with the weather.

    Hi Chaps

Sorry I haven't popped onto the thread sooner, it's been a busy few days for me and I didn't want to jump on without being able to give it my full attention.

So first off, for those that haven't been before if you want to get an idea of what it's like here's an interactive 3D view/tour of the place (you can move around with your mouse etc - you'll figure it out )

    https://doncaster-airgun-range.co.uk/tour

The place is busy all of the time now (it's busier than the last time TonyL came - and it was quite busy then!), so what I'll do is just pre-reserve the 38 yard side ( lanes 1-9 ) all day at a special discount - there's more room behind the lanes then and there are a few tables with stools you can sit at etc.

Since it's a while off if you've got any ideas about any little fun competitions you fancy shooting - let me know and if anything needs making (new targets etc) or organising, then I should have enough time between then and now to get everything sorted.

Any questions ask on the thread and I'll do my best.

Oh - don't worry too much about getting kit up and down - yes the stairs are a pain, but there will be 2 range officers on duty (me and probably Thomas Bristow) and we don't mind ferrying kit up the stairs for you.

Should be good fun! I'm looking forward to it!
    Bri
