One thing I'll need to account for is a chair to be placed in the lane I am to shoot from, I can't lean forward to Benchrest so freehold the rifle with my back supported.
One question I've got is the MP5, I think I can feed it Lead BBs, is it still not range legal or can it be excused providing I test for ricochet beforehand (which I'm happy to do as I want to check feeding with lead ammo anyway)?
I've plenty I can use otherwise so not the end of the world if its not but I've grown to quite enjoy it as it's easier on me to use as being Semi auto CO2 theres no cocking effort past the initial slap to chamber a shot and the Mags hold a lot.
Otherwise unless theres any special requests it'll be the Supersport and 880 I'll bring to keep weight down and possibly the MP9 for pistol work (it shoots both BB and Pellet from a double ended rotary thats a little more faff than the MP5).

Not acctually mentioned this to the Mrs yet as semi in the doghouse for buying a Lava lamp that looks like an artillery shell.

Any air rifle (under 12 ft.lbs) or any air pistol (under 6 ft.lbs) can be used on the range. CO2 powered air weapons can also be used, and there is no restriction on calibre.

Lead pellets ONLY can be used on the range -no BB's or non-lead pellets may be used at any time.

Have you got a lift sorted or are you just posting things for Brian & Leanne to worry about ?

You do the same on all the Bash threads yet don't turn up.

Not yet and it's not been my fault I haven't been able to make it has it?
First bash no one from my area was on a one day, all camping, second my health had been exceptionally bad so couldn't book anything otherwise I might've not got the money back and turned out I wan't avalible anyway, third I couldn't afford an alternate method of getting there and the Member that was happy to help wasn't doing good himself.
And I asked as an exception, as its a gun thats easier for me, a disabled shooter, to carry and use so I'm not disrupting others enjoyment asking for help as heaven forbid should I make an effort to be kind to others.

Maybe wait until you have sorted all the issues you can before starting to assume you'll be there

I believe oxygen is available from the 3rd floor up
Do we have to bring our own rope or do they tie us together for the climb?

So, went over for a sesh yesterday afternoon.

It had been far too long since I'd last visited. The opportunity came up and I grabbed it with both mitts, but with the different days off with the new job I should be able to make it happen more often.

Was greeted by a lovely, jovial chap at the desk, followed by the ever-friendly, ever-chatty Brian. Made me a coffee and we had a bit of a natter about our January meet and a few other things. What a gent.

I can confirm that pellet choice now available at the range is, indeed, extensive. They don't carry "plinking / novelty hunting" pellets (although many would use accurate domes anyway), but they have an extensive range of the higher quality pellets in .177 and .22 that most would consider using for longer range target disciplines, Benchrest, FT, HFT, hunting etc., including as Leanne pointed out earlier, JSB Express, AAF, H&N FTT, Baracuda FT, Baracuda 8, QYS, JSB Jumbo (in standard weight as well as Express and RS), JTS Dead Centre, SuperField etc, etc.....I'll have missed something off!

As Brian and Leanne had also previously said, we'll have those nine lanes at 38 yards with a wider area behind and benches / seating etc for when chatting away etc.

    Drinks and light snacks available.

Had a great session. Pellet testing with the AM03 was enlightening. Not long before my session finished, Leanne had arrived and we had another quick chat about our special little gathering in January. Leanne and Brian are really looking forward to hosting this for us and it will be a most excellent day.

And I hope to squeeze another visit or two in before then.

I don't think I'm alone in really looking forward to January, it will be great to meet up again for a natter and a shoot.
With it being indoors I'll have no excuses about the breeze etc making me miss (I might start making up another excuse such as thermal conditions).
I'm thinking could it be a possibility to make this a regular thing in the future between Bashes if Brian and Leanne are up for it?

I would have thought so, one way or another, Gary.

For future meets, depending how this goes (and I think this will go VERY well), we might be able to do it where we have half of the range to ourselves again. As you say, as long as it's okay with Brian and Leanne.

If we can't do it the exact same way, we could just choose a day and all book lanes independently and do it that way.

But be assured that Brian and Leanne are both very friendly and approachable and they are very passionate about the sport and are happy to welcome as many people into their excellent facility as possible. They'll work with us to make it happen and the range has a lovely, homely, welcoming feel to it. I very much get the feeling that the social side of it buzzes and everyone I've met there is very friendly.

I'd be up for a Saturday afternoon or two at Donny, either as a few of us booking lanes or as a bigger venture booking half the range again.

Not surprised they have a really good selection of pellets, there looks to be stacks of them in the pics on the website.

Quite enigmatic update on the AM03 Tony.

Same mate. Really looking forward to the January meet up, but I'd like to get there before then if possible. I did book a lane a couple of months ago but had to cancel, and it seems such a great facility almost on our doorstep.
