    45 Diana trigger

    How to adjust the bugger?
I am enquiring for another airgunner on the Airgun Nation forum. I've never had one so have no idea. Looks like the rearward screw is locktited? Is it a two stage trigger?
    Thank you

I'm not a Diana trigger expert but pretty sure that the 45 will have sported a two stage trigger?

Do you know if it has the T01 trigger fitted? If so, it most definitely will be a two-stage unit and a very good one at that, once properly adjusted. That rear screw should not be loctited. Adjustment wise (assuming both adjusters are working) it wants setting up so that the first stage is doing most of the work, allowing for a lighter, crisper second stage release. I can't remember now off hand as to exactly how to adjust, but seem to remember that the front screw will adjust the first stage and the rear one the second, but await someone else jumping in to properly advise.

    Thank you, but wrong trigger

The 45 shares the same trigger with the 50 TO1 but has nothing to do with the TO1 trigger, oddly. They're the only Dianas with this trigger.
I actually had a 50 TO1 but did not like it at all. Not even enough to want to shoot it more than a few shots. Sold it.

    Ah, okay, sorry about that.

Does it have the "ball bearing" type trigger?

There has been plenty written about that one over the years and there will be a fair few people with useful first hand experience of them on this forum.

One of them is sure to see this and offer assistance.

And where's BarryG, our resident loyal Diana fan?

Thanks again. Not a ball sear. As stated, this trigger is unique to the Diana 45 and the 50 TO1. It has a peculiarly long trigger.

It is a two stage trigger but there is only one trigger adjustment screw. The red painted one is factory set and should not be touched.

The Original LG45 trigger unit is unique to that rifle but was also used on the later Original 50 T01 it is a 2 stage unit and is only adjustable via the large screw just behind the blade it controls length of pull only, the screw that's covered in red paint is for the safety catch adjustment and shouldn't be touched.
