I think the length of the threaded section is about 18mm, Paul. My other old 35 with the V-Mach spring and guide kit's spring doesn't protrude beyond the cylinder end. And there are plenty of other 35s out there using stiffer springs, like Titans and Ox, set up thus so. So I thought just a little bit hanging out of the end should give a nice cycle. Power approaching the limit isn't a requirement. This spring will be a little softer than those, so I might go a little less, say 30mm off, which should give approx 25mm preload, and see how we go.
