    Plus it's not a Longbow

Not that much at all, I apply moly with a small flat artists paint brush, it's about 4mm across & very short, I didn't put any at all on the seal. Seal fit felt "normal" ie not loose or tight.

It's going to be rain & high wind tomorrow afternoon, so my excuse is going to be that I'm going to use the small indoor pistol range ....

I'll have to save for a dive cylinder now too

I had to go out driving yesterday in the reserve 175k miles old pug, got to the furthest point & the noise from the rear NS wheel turned into a locked wheel. Reversing unlocked it but then I had a 50 mile drive with the wheel randomly locking while sounding like a brick in a washing machine. I'm having flashbacks lol. I'd still take that over an eye injection tbh.

You'll annihilate The Bucket with it, Paul.

Bugger....lunch break finishing shortly....lube regime sounds fine, just let the system settle.....that sounds like a troublesome van journey! Glad you got back okay, could have been much worse.

Was great to see you yesterday Tony, was a nice catch up, you look really happy working there!
And I love the new skid lid that your colleague sorted me out with.

I'm taking that new 6-24 x 50 Wulf scope with me tomorrow when I pick it up (if the range is open, the weather looks dreadful) so I'll find out if we hit it off.

I wish work did have vans, proper ones like the Traffic I used to have, but as what we do is small so are the cars, in this case a Peugeot 208. It's saving graces are that it can beat most things round a roundabout & it's good on country roads. Now it's got 175 thousand miles on the clock & it's absolutely knackered.

Hopefully it won't come back from the garage, if it doesn't that will be the second 208 I've killed in three years You'd think the boss would take the hint & get someone else to drive.

Just out of curiosity what did you get Terry ?

I'm planning on getting my bike MOTed next month & if my back is up to riding it I'll be needing a new lid. The current range of helmets on the market is just bewildering, the choice is so vast.

The Caberg flip up I've got looked OK online but the shell is huge & it lifts up at speed. I like the built in sun visor, very handy with low sun.

I got an Arai RX7 V , it's actually to replace a previous Arai RX7 that had got to the end of its life.
I wanted to try one on incase the size/shape/fit had changed from older models. I put the new one on and it felt like home. The Arai helmets aren't cheap but they have a proven record, and I always think that if you ever crashed you'd wished you hadn't skimped on safety.

Try an HJC Paul. Flip up and has built in sun visor. I love mine.

Never had problems with my Caberg flipping up at speed - & the Blackbird & ZX-9R are not slow, is it locked down properly? Took a while to wear in...found the sun visor a PIA. Intrudes on my vision even withdrawn at the top of the lid.

Glad you're happy with your visit and purchase, Terry, and it'll be lovely to see you again when you collect.

Yep, loving it here; it's a far cry from the previous set of twats!

I hope the weather plays nicely enough for the range to be open so that you can get acquainted, Paul. Fingers crossed for you. And have fun if you get there.

As you say, I think the little Pug's time is up and, hopefully, the boss will replace with something much better. If it does come back, finish it off for good!

Paul, on Friday I was in Clothing as opposed to Helmets, so one of my colleagues looked after Terry.

But I sometimes work in Helmets and you wouldn't believe some of the stuff we hear and get told up there. Some people are a danger to themselves when it comes to helmet fit and suitability.

Honestly, honestly, honestly......visit our shop, or any other shop with a good selection of helmets, to inspect them, try on for size and be properly fitted up. You would not believe some of the ill-fitting garbage that some people are happy to trust their noggin in. DO NOT BLINDLY BUY ONE ON-LINE WITHIOUT TRYING ON PRIOR.

There are many good helmets available, from a wide range of manufacturers, and many are very, very good. If budget allows, and as long as the fit is absolutely correct for you, I'd choose from Arai, Shoei, AGV, HJC, Shark and Scorpion. But some of the less pricey ones will also be fine, but do visit a shop and try them.

P.S....sounds like yours is too large for you.

P.P.S....There are plenty of other worthy helmets, too. Nolans (+ the X-Lite range) amongst others too.
