That’s what I would do bud, they’re a pain to split the cigar tube so have a look online and I had best results using scope mounts around it to give me some extra purchase.
Done mine with scope mounts aswell, But I put some double sided sticky tape around the scope so the mounts didn't slip, Clamped in a vice and a Sharp tap with a hammer,
