I will be trying my best to attend this event ldwink, I’ve missed going to the Kempton fair for the last couple of years.
I will be looking for a 177 barrel for my Webley Premier mk2. The one that’s on the pistol is unfortunately bent.

A common occurrence, very easily straightened.

The sear spring failed in the trigger, when I cocked the pistol and the barrel returned to the closed position rather quickly.lucky I didn’t have any fingers in the way. I haven’t got the nerve to try and straighten it myself . I would rather keep the original barrel on the pistol.

Must have hit the barrel catch on its way down. Obviously you cannot close it now. If its bent near midway I would straighten it set up between the chuck and a live centre on a lathe using pressure from the tool post. Also check the barrel breech is still round after impact or pellets will not seat.

    That’s exactly what happened.
    Unfortunately I haven’t got a lathe ldgrin.
I was going to ask Mick T20 to have a go at straightening it up for me.
When he used to host the Boinger bash events :cool.
I will get it sorted eventually ( it’s very sentimental to me) .

It will be a great fair. Sadly for me, I cannot make it. Hope all who attend find some classic bargains.
