Sirocco or fenman

I have had a lead on an early Theoben that sounds like it may be a pre h.e sirocco, just working out the details.

I recently saw a .22 sirocco advertised elsewhere for under £300 and it sold within 1/2 an hour despite it having a spring fitted albeit professionally done,
I would imagine that if it was standard it would be nearer the 5 mark,
I'm taking that as an indicator of how much i should expect to budget for.

Thumbhole grand Prix be more closer to £700-£800

A nice Sirocco normally brings north of $1000 US.
There is a Grand Prix on the auction site waiting for an opening bid of $999. It will come. Probably go 1500 - 1700
A Prometheus Sirocco is waiting for a $600 bid. Prometheus barrel is .177 with no choke. Ends tomorrow.
I have a spare Promethius barrel and a spare Venom Executive brake but never tried the barrel.
A good Eliminator Or Crow Magnum gets $1100 - $1300.

I have both at the moment I much prefer the 177 sirocco, so easy to cock and probably my lightest gas ram . I came across a early 90 in 22 cal like the Fenman did a full overhaul and that shoots as sweet as cutting butter however it a heavy beast.

I had a Fenman (later model with scope grooves) a lovely looking gun ,but the trigger was awful.
Much later I got myself an early pre HE Sirocco deluxe,a much nicer rifle to shoot with and the trigger (Webley Omega) was a big improvement over the previous one.

The Webley Omega triggers came on the later Sirocco Classic. The Deluxe is different. And much better iMO.
HE came with the Sirocco 2000 along with the Evolution trigger

It is definitely a sirocco but from some research i have done and looking at some 80's Theoben adverts elsewhere i am pretty sure it is what was described as a deluxe is actually, according to the grainy pic in the advert, a 'field target', i dont know whether this makes a big difference or what it signifies but i am extremely pleased with it, its a lovely bit of kit with the loveliest deep blacking and super smooth mechanism,

My pal sold a very nice Eliminator .25 cal on in the states and it fetched over $2400 around 2 weeks ago!

Thank you, I bought it new in 1988. Notice it is a later model with an accessible schrader valve.
My favorite Theoben. It weighs in at 7.5 lbs and FAC. It's getting updated with a new steel trigger guard I made and a new stock I'm working on.
