problems with Diana Non-adjustable trigger
I'm referring to the trigger as issued on the Diana Models 24. 26, and 34 when first introduced in 1984. I have a RWS Diana Mod. 26 dated 10 84. The first versions of the models 24 and 26 had 25mm pistons while the Diana 34 utilized a 28MM piston from its inception, and shared the very same trigger in conjunction with an outer sleeve to make up the difference in the inner diameter of the larger compression tube on the Mod 34. Here's my problem. I've disassembled my Model 26 several times to examine, clean and lubricate the inner workings. I've always used 5mm slave pins to keep the inner workings in alignment. However the last time I put everything back together the safety would randomly misfunction. It would set upon cocking but on occasion the air rifle would fire upon flipping the safety lever to the fire position. Obviously this is of great concern to me especially as this occurance is random and has no specific pattern of consistency or predictability. Has this ever happened to any other Diana owners whose air rifles are equipped with this very same trigger? Any help or advice would be much appreciated. This style of trigger was commonly used on several versions of the Model 24 running into the 1990's. To be clear, this is a non-adjustable trigger and not to be confused with any Diana trigger having a visible means of adjustment.

This is ringing a vague bell in my memory.
Try easing off one or more of the stock bolts a smidge. I'm sure I had something where I did a stock bolt up more tightly than it liked and it fired when the safety was flipped off. I think something in the stock was pressing on the trigger. It might have been my Diana 24D - not many of my non HW springers have safetys. Worth a try anyway. I think I put an extra washer in later to allow me to do it up tightly but allow the moving parts a bit of extra room.

that sounds like a reasonable suggestion. I've currently got it torqued to 20 inch lbs. I think I'll go 15 or a bit less

Did this fix the problem of your gun shooting when the safety was pushed off?
It sounds a very similar issue as with your Diana 24... I just found your other post when searching for advice on adjusting the trigger on mine.
