Further to our PMs, Rob.
I actually had a TX (MK3)and an LGV piston on my kitchen table. :-

Overall length of TX piston = 160mm, body length to bearing flange = 115mm.
Overall length of LGV piston = 180mm, body length to bearing flange = 130mm.
So if you add 15mm to the length by lengthening the seal arbor and using a 5mm longer rod a TX piston should do you.
All the best Mick

No problem, Rob.
Measurements aren't 100%, but they give a general idea.
All the best Mick
sounds like what I stuck in my '80![]()
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Luckily I still have a couple![]()
Loving the countryside air
Had the Century apart and back together, half a dozen times now, with a few slightly different setups and ended up with a really nice shot cycle.
For the minute, I'm going to see how this shoots, before I decide what else to do.
I'm really surprised how little recoil there is
Happy with the trigger so far, but I zero from a rest, which for some reason, makes me very aware of triggers, but this one does feel very good, with a light first stage and a crisp break on the second stage. Definitely better than most Rekord settings, I've encountered on out of the box rifles.

In the earlier days of the LGV and Century being available, Bill from Solware brought a few along to a Boinger Bash for us to try and the Century didn't disappoint. 30mm guns, as you've experienced (and there will be many, many very nicely set-up 30mm '35s and 80s out there) can shoot fantastically well.
THE BOINGER BASH AT QUIGLEY HOLLOW. MAKING GREAT MEMORIES SINCE 15th JUNE, 2013.
NEXT EVENT :- May 17/18, 2025.........BOING!!
P.S....I'm not sure if anyone has tried it yet (especially when the LGV pistons were readily available, making 25mm conversions easier), but I wonder how the Century might respond to a stroke reduction? Especially if it were done via nose extension, making it easily reversible, if later required?

Slightly faded memory here but one thing to bear in mind with the LGV piston is I recall there are some soft ones about. They gall awfully as a result where the cocking arm engages, a pal had a s/h rifle that was so bad he replaced the piston. Suspect it would have been a batch heat treatment thing and they have fixed it now for the princely sum they require for the new part!

Dave.
