Pretty sure this is the nearest you'll get. The ID can be a little variable, between 13.6 and 13.8.
I run this spring in my 99

Also pretty sure that they are the spring that UK 77/97 are (or were) supplied with.
We don't get the 77/97 14.3 ID, 3.1 wire spring here

After looking at spring dimensions, it seems like the titan #8 might be the spring closest to the one I'm after....

USA HW95L, 2018 year factory spring = 34 coils & 11.375” long. Spring ID = 14 mm, 0.5512”, as near as I can measure. ARH has kits with springs if this will help.

Thanks. I'm currently using ARHs QX4600 spring in the 95 with good results. Has to be spaced up for a balanced shotcycle in the full stroke 95.
His Hornet closed coil spring is also good for a high power FAC setup, but I want to reduce power a bit from that level.
What I want to try is a 13.6-7mm ID spring with 3,0mm diameter wire and enough coils for good preload without spacing.
Welsh willy HP Dagda and Titan XS #8 seem to be the closest ones on the market.

HW95K .22 with an ARH kit, Vortek seal, GPL-205 lube at 17 FPE. Cocking cycle is silent until trigger latch. About 9K shots after install and very accurate.

I had the utter pleasure of having a go with a couple of Vortek kitted HWs yesterday and they shot extremely nicely. As you say, the cocking action was very, very smooth, too. Impressive.![]()

A Titan #8 just came in the mail, and a trial fit on a old OEM HW plastic rear guide shows that it is a tight fit, just like expected.
I might have to shave a few hundreds of a mm from the guide, but if the spring works as I hope, the original guide plus a tophat is all that is needed for a nice setup in the 95.

Sounding promising.
Similarly, I'd heard it said previously that Tony Wall at SFS had his springs made to match the OE Weihrauch guide. So just a top hat required. We once stripped an SFS tuned '95 at a Bash as it had gone running slightly over. And, indeed, the standard HW guide fitted the spring very nicely and top hat present. The rifle shot very nicely indeed.

Quoting myself... because, yes the three OEM HW spring guides I have enters the spring snugly, but entering them fully will not happen without shaving the guide a bit. The guides are tapered from ca 13,4mm to ca 13,8mm, and the spring seems to be around 13,3-13,4mm.
So the OEM guide has to be turned down a few tenths of a mm.

Very useful information there, evert; thank you once again. And, again, an issue for those of us without lathes and not being able to do the necessary work.![]()
