    Best fill bottle whip/hose?

My 40cm hose is kinked at the bottle end and needs replacing. I saw a Hydrotech braided 1m hose which looks good, about £28, but is that the "go to" type and make?

    Thanks for suggestions.

I’ve always found Best Fittings absolutely fine, but equally haven’t tried other brands. P&P is included for orders over £10.

    Whip

Whatever you buy wrap the first few inches "from the bottle" with self amalgamating tape. Wont kink again.

That's what I did years ago, but the tape has split.

The Hydrotech ones have bend protection at both ends...

Remove the hose from the bottle before transportation.

The gas inside the hose is lost when you open the bleed screw, so use the shortest micro-bore you can get away with.
Also make sure you get the correct shape & size end fitting, some are flat others are tapered.
A good idea is to buy a hose with a spring support for the cylinder end to protect it from kinking under it's own weight,
I have a Hydrotech HT168, DN2 (2mm bore) 500mm with spring support, with a 300bar DIN reducer for the cyl & female foster QR for the rifle fitting.

The Best Fittings ones don’t seem to kink.

The new Best Fittings Ultima hoses have a much smaller bore than the older versions and are very high quality and robust.
