    Weihrauch HW 100.

Just got back into Airgun shooting & been looking around for a fairly new HW 100. A new rifle can be purchased for around £1000 or just over, most of the traders want the almost new price for a used one.

What’s a realistic price to pay for a used rifle via a private sale. Not in any real hurry & can look out for a good used rifle but what’s the cost going to be.

Don’t see the point in paying the almost new price second hand as a new one will have warranty etc. Thanks for any advice anyone can give.

Generally in the region of £550-700 I'd have expected (that'd be with some accessories, not a bare rifle/carbine).

Those prices seem fair. Just have to find one.

Dealers have shop overheads, and are subject to sale of goods act legal cover, so charge extra to cover their costs,
A private sale has no cover, once bought you're on your own.
Depending on age, condition & what bits & bobs are included probably anything up to £800+

There’s a mint .22 on the other forum with extras asking under 600

Do some searching there’s plenty out there, and never pay the asking as a haggle can work wonders.

Myself I would only buy a hw100 from a forum member. One which has been sorted. They do come up quite often.
