    Guntrader scam email

Just to warn everyone, there's a scam email asking you to click the link to verify your advert. Don't click the link.
I thought the email was odd and contacted GT and they've confirmed it's fraudulent.

We hope this message finds you well.

We are writing to make you aware of a scam email that may have been sent to you recently in response to your advert on Guntrader. Please rest assured that this email did not come from Guntrader, nor was it sent by us.

As part of our service, Guntrader acts as a third-party messaging platform for initial enquiries between buyers and sellers. This means that messages are routed through our system from interested parties to advert holders like yourself.

Unfortunately, in this instance, a scammer has used this feature to send a fraudulent message. We want to reassure you that we have highlighted this in the message template to help make it clear that the content originates from an external party, not from Guntrader.

If you have received a suspicious or unusual message, we recommend:

Not responding to the senderAvoid clicking on any links or downloading any attachmentsReporting the email to us at [support@guntrader.uk] so we can investigate further

Your safety and security are very important to us, and we’re actively working to prevent such misuse of our platform.

Thank you for your continued trust in Guntrader. If you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team.

    Kind Regards

    Lisa

A few gave GT a second chance but it seems they don't take security seriously enough to protect their customers.

A gut feeling that something isn't right is a powerful instinct.
