    Tau 7 Match. SOLD.

This excellent (and now quite hard to find) CO2 match pistol now has a new owner.

Genuine TAU 7 MATCH pistols are very hard to find, and this one is “unique” as I have taken care of the only problem that I found - the laminated grip as delivered from the factory was varnished and was quite slippery to hold.

I have stippled the grip in the right places to give better grip and (IMHO) to improve its appearance too.

This pistol is still being given an occasional outing to our 10 meter club range where it continues to perform just as well as any expensive PCP match pistol.

Everything shown in the pictures is original - including the nice (factory supplied) alloy TAU 7 Match case that only these rare Match pistols were delivered in.

    Now SOLD.

If only I had the spare cash handy! I love shooting my club’s Tau 7. They’re great little target pistols.

They certainly are great little target pistols, and the rare MATCH version capitalises on these qualities even more.

The selected MATCH GRADE barrel together with the adjustable and stippled LAMINATED grip together with the complete set of BALANCE WEIGHTS (front muzzle weight and rear mounted balance bar) housed in its unique factory fitted ALLOY CASE all help to make it possible to set this pistol set up to give the best fit and balance.

If you ever find yourself over this way on a club night, please let me know in advance so I can take my MATCH pistol to the range for you to compare it with the more usual standard TAU 7 target pistols that you are used to shooting.

We could arrange to take this pistol to the Southport area as we often travel to Ainsdale/Formby/Southport.

This could be helpful to anyone that is interested that lives in or around the Preston to Liverpool area too and could save postage costs or travel time or for anyone that is unable to collect it from Rossendale BB4 or who would prefer not to have it posted to them.

Thank you Alan, I hope you will enjoy shooting it (and owning it ) as much as I have done.

    Hi Ray,

From what you describe, I think it highly unlikely that you have a genuine Match version of the Tau7.

The value of any other Tau 7 variant is significantly lower, and comparing the price that this genuine
Tau 7 Match sold for would not be very helpful to you.

Checking here on the BBS and elsewhere will soon give you a better idea of what the value of your Tau 7 may be currently as this very popular pistol, so finding examples to compare with yours shouldn’t take too long.

Stay safe - and enjoy your Tau 7 - they really are great little pistols.

If you do have a genuine Match in it’s fitted metal case, you have a really rare air pistol that I am sure you will enjoy shooting.
