Textolite is a slighter lighter material than the Bakelite type polymer used on PM pistols.

There is a difference in grip width between the PM frame that takes a single stack 8 round magazine on the firearm and the PMM that Gen 1-4 pistols are based around.

The PMM firearm takes a 10-12 round double stack magazine. Bakelite type grips are made for the wider PMM frame but not easy to find. I would ask RussMilitary to see what they have.

As for the recoil spring, some owners have cut a few coils from the original to lighten resistance. You could cut a couple at a time to ensure you don't overdo it. Again, Boris at RussMilitary may have a spare spring or you may be able to source an original on t'bay as spares do occasionally crop up.

Currently looking for Baikal Makarov pistols with the following prefixes to the serial number: 98, T01,
Prefer boxed or cased but will consider loose examples too.
