I should have been clearer in my post.. I am using a regular bead/post foresight. It just so happens that the hood itself is a fraction smaller than the apeture when viewed thru the peep, so it's easy to align the two. I then just have to sit the bead or top of the post on the target... I also found my long lost little zip-lock bag of foresight elements, so I can experiment.

Ah, I see what you mean.
I quite like the thought of that so may have a look at my set up to obtain something g similar. I can see that aiding in alignment.

A few years back I got a Williams AG peep sight from Craig P ,but couldn’t get on with it for bell target shooting.
I sold it to Gary (gtfreight) who later sold it back to me. It then eventually ended up back with Craig ldwink.
I do wish that I would have kept it and persevered with it for longer range work.

Managed a bit more of a play today...

I managed to have a little more peep sight playtime today...

Firstly with the 1377. And what a transformation! From not being to see and use the open sights effectively, if I do my bit with trigger control and follow through, I can now shoot tiny groups with the little pump-up. Deep joy!

Then I managed to make a start on the peep rear project for the 35. I ended up using Blutac to position the BSA Meteor peep element onto the bottom of a scope mount. It went superbly for an initial trial. Mega tight groups came effortlessly, even when "snap shooting". However, with the peep in the lowest position, point of impact is about 1"high at 8 yards. I'll need to get a lower mount or arrestor block. Or I'd have to file some material away. But these were brand new 13mm Sportsmatch mounts and I didn't really want to be spoiling them. So I will be putting a wanted ad out for a low 13mm mount or arrestor block.
