Currently looking for Baikal Makarov pistols with the following prefixes to the serial number: 98, T01,
Prefer boxed or cased but will consider loose examples too.
Very nice and exactly how it would have left the factory.

Bought it for the white grip which I rarely see on a Sportster. Also paid too much! Lol
That a true time warp piece - Well done👍
What ever it cost, must be worth it for the white grip alone
😁
A very nice set indeed, but made me smile about the use of the ammunition printed at the bottom of the box.
wow very nice
you only get one life live it to the best of your ability
Mick (T 20) if you see this, could you please put 'Time Warp airgun collector' under Steve's name?![]()

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
Can you image the joy of being a 12-14 year old kid back in the day getting one for Christmas or a Birthday. Two barrels pellets and darts, I'd have exploded with joy.
Given how complete and in such good condition it is, I doubt it was ever used.

Did you get the BB barrel too? The BB barrels are pretty rare Larry Hannush had 177 & 22 barrels for sale at the Ohio show but not BBs.
I had not realised that the BB barrels were rare.
I bought this boxed 803 from the USA quite a few years ago, in the happy days when buying airguns from USA was almost as easy as buying one from your local gunshop. When it arrived the box lid was covered with duck tape, but for no good reason apparently, as I was able to remove the tape with methylene chloride and the lid underneath was structurally sound. Fortunately the solvent left the lid printing intact.
Although not a white grip, the pistol was a great buy and was in excellent condition. The box was missing the correct ammo container, but the previous owner had seen fit to buy an extra barrel, so by way of compensation I do have all three barrel types, jncluding the rare BB one.

I can see why the bb barrel is rare, looks like you had to buy it separately? And why would you go to the trouble, just a poor performer next to the .177 pellet. What would keep it from rolling out? Doubt it was magnetic? Seems more like a marketing ploy so they could brag on 5 in one?
I checked the BB barrel on mine and it is apparent that the first few millimeters of the breech are undersized and the BB sits in there quite firmly, thereafter it rolls down the barrel freely. As you say, the BB barrel was most probably a marketing ploy, although I suppose you could argue there would be a small ammo cost saving using BB's rather than waisted lead pellets.
