Sounds highly unpleasant, hope you are doing better than Tony is Dave.

Spent 6 hours in A&E yesterday myself. Had some odd symptoms, so unusually for me I went to the GP, who turned out to be a 17 year old Iraqi lad. After checking me over & seeing my blood pressure he said I was in danger of immanent death & to go straight to A&E. I wasn't going to go but stupidly let the wife read the letter the doctor had written.

After a very, very, long wait I got to see a 15 year old Indian doctor accompanied by a consultant. The consultant said I was fine & I left without being put on any medication despite having high blood pressure.

Last time I go to the bloody doctors & definitely the last time I tell the wife know what the doctor actually said
As per above, Paul, it did get a better as the day went on. Not quite right yet, though. Don't know if the medication used this time takes longer or if it wasn't effective, or if it was anything to do with the heat on Tuesday. We'll see what happens.

That sounds like a very scary episode, sprinkled with total incompetence. What a bunch of absolute twats. Your life in their hands, eh? Do you think it was heat related? How high was your blood pressure? How are you feeling now? I hope you're okay again now and don't have any more symptoms. Many of these muppets don't instill confidence, do they?

Despite the cloudy vision I was able to have a little play later in the afternoon with a couple of the Crosmans. The 1377 and 2240 mini-carbines that I'd put a little low-strength Loctite on to the bolt handles the other week. I wanted to make sure it had worked okay. 1377 seems fine. The 2240 one (G-Mac handle and bolt) was still coming a little loose after a good few shots. Might need to re-do.

As always, both were enjoyable to shoot at garden range. And groups were pleasing despite the eyes!

Love these two little carbines. As we'd said before, they'll come to The Bash plus the 2250b and the 1377 with the rearsight flipped to peep.

The Tin Can Alley should be great fun!

Hope the eye has stop aching Tony, sounds grim tbh.

It was more of a boring & time wasting experience tbh, I'd developed a rash after exposure to the sun which has never happened before, plus headaches plus fatigue, then they saw my blood pressure. Which was high even for me

Very few doctors inspire confidence these days, that's for sure, that's one reason I don't usually go to them.

Sounds like a good plinking sesh regardless of the eye, still not had a go with my 2250

Two weeks tomorrow for some of us, hopefully back in the big field

BAM as in Chinese air rifle, Melv'?

Yes it was bought as a project, I had just finished the case for the L pattern and thought I could modify/alter this one but I realised it would be more work than I wanted to do so I’m just selling it on. I think somebody with a bit more patience than me could make something of it.

Any body interested in any of the items I can send photos by WhatsApp or email but like I have said I have transport problems at the mo.

No pain from the eye now, Paul. Just really cloudy vision which is really disorientating. Usually the eye clears late in the day of the injection. Not this time. If it's the same tomorrow I'll have to give them a call.

I was quite surprised I could see well enough to hit the targets yesterday. Huge bonus. You're going to love yours.

I wonder if your episode was a bit of sunstroke / heat exhaustion? You take it easy.

Yep, it's a BAM 38 underlever in the deluxe stock.

What's that a copy of ? I take it that it's a copy of something. Most hilarious if it is actually a HW35 copy

Any idea what the calibre is ?
