THE BOINGER BASH AT QUIGLEY HOLLOW. MAKING GREAT MEMORIES SINCE 15th JUNE, 2013.
NEXT EVENT :- July 19/20, 2025.........BOING!!
So, no gun play time yesterday. But, the previously mentioned move to a hobby / gun room started....one of my daughters moved out last week. Rooms are getting re-configured. The wife wanted my two cabinets into there. Between them they house 26 rifles and at least ten pistols. The other rifles are in boxes.
So each one was removed and then lovingly replaced after a wipe over with the silicone cloth. Although some haven't been used in a long time (must make amends) I love each and every one of them, including some duplicates, and there's not a single one I'd want to let go of for now.
Apparently a desk will be appearing soon and plenty of drawer / storage space, so all the pellets etc can end up in there too. And I'll be able to do some of the cleaner fettling jobs in there. Awesome.![]()

Excellent, I can bring my big tent and a 35
I hope your eye continues to improve Tony, no reason it shouldn't if they've found nothing serious.
On the pistol front I fancy a repeating pellet firing replica type for can bashing, not got the funds atm though.
About time you got a gun room, takes to a whole other level![]()
Cheers, Paul. If it stays like this, though, a visit to the opticians will be required as it's as if my prescription has changed. Really weird. It's never happened before following an eye injection. I can't see that they've disturbed the lens (the replacement lens fitted when they're doing cataract ops) as I'd have thought that I'd be having more serious issues. Nice that they can't see anything untoward, but then it's they who did the injection and they might not want to put their hands up to doing anything wrong??????
I just hope that it sorts itself out by itself with no intervention.
In the meantime, a letter arrived yesterday saying there's another appointment for me on the 21st, just after The Bash......
Any particular replica repeater in mind? The BB blowback ones are great fun but you obviously lose a little in accuracy. Love my little PPK to bits. And the Colt Defender looks and sounds good. And both are temptingly priced.
No doubt other family stuff will work its way into the "Gun Room", but it's certainly a step in the right direction. Apparently I'll have that bit of desk space, drawer space, shelves etc., so sounding promising. And it'll be nice to have everything gun related in the one room. Apart from the stuff for the dirtier / heavier jobs, like the bench grinder, greases, tools etc......they'll still be in the "man cave shed / playhouse thing" and the kitchen table will remain the main fettling area.....

The main Road from the Bash to Melton is closed.
People travelling to or from Melton Mowbray should go via Asfordby.
A6006, turning right at six hills lane, turn left at lawn lane, leading onto Nottingham lane, turn right onto Station Road. Approach the bash from the other direction.

I travel alone
Hang on!!! Does this mean we are cut off from supplies of pork pies!!!
Pete
I travel alone
I take the M1 South and get off at Kegworth You can get onto The A6006 near there. I go off piste just after Wymeswold and go over the A46 at the go karting and then to the bash.
Alternatively continue all the way on the A6006 past the dogs trust and join the A46. Head North and take the next junction again at the go carting and to the Bash
The more I think I know, the more I realise the less I know.
