I said 60's to 80's. My older friends even used to talk about how they would shoot each other for a laugh.. I was born in 78 so I wasn't even born then and I wasn't allowed guns by my parents until my dad died in 2009. He would have disowned me.
12ft/lb to break a human bone is a well known fact. Same as 6ft/lb to pierce skin. Blunt force of course, sharps will sail through. It's just biology.
The Dunblane tragedy blanket banned handguns so there will NEVER be a review of the 6ft/lb limit. Before that blanket ban there could have been a chance for review if it was pushed. Obviously you can't hide a rifle but pistols can be easily hidden so they have to have a lower limit.. Personally I'm not in agreement with that and I have my own opinion that I will keep to myself.
The firearms act section 5 and the limits being set in 68, you're correct and I'll take that bloody nose..
