i thought with globel warming we would be haveing warmer winters , makes me think some one is talking bull****.... ie the gov

Sadly one of the most frightening aspects of global warming is the possible effect it may have on the Gulf Stream. The concept is simple, massive amounts of newly melted cold freshwater from North Russia mix with the warm Gulf Stream sea water above Britain and cool it down too quickly, this causes a shift in North Atlantic Drift taking the warm water from it's current position North of Britain to a new position further south. As we are on a similar latitude to much of Canada the prospects for future winters are cause for concern.
