I see people are able to get 11fpe from the old HW50/55 platform, but my experience with those guns is that this is difficult to improve power much.
That custom piston probably gives a stroke increase?

I like so many aspects of many break barrels, making it hard to choose.

Keeping it simple (and pretty standard) I'd have to say the HW95, mildly fettled.

Mercury S - It may upset the HW cult and purists, yes I have HW's too, but hell, the Mercury looks the business and has an alpha male trigger.

    All the best to all

So you dont think this gun could be improved if it had some of the characteristics of other guns?
I like the 95 too, but I'd like to try one with a 25mm piston and a bit shorter stroke.

Yes, this one does have the characteristics of some other guns. It has the swept volume of a 25mm Hw77, a custom stock and trigger that fit me, unlike the HW ones designed for apes.
