It always has been a marginal size.
Just something the airgun mags pushed as something else to sell with the first ones..afaik.. Sheridan, Sp5 and Diana 45.
Had all these three, but the only good ammo was the H&N pointed in the yellow tins.
A Rapid with modern .20 ammo is a different story i would think.

H&N had a large array of .20 pellets that for some reason they shelfed.

I always rated the 9.9g semi hollow points also known as silver bears in the USA.

Unless we .20 shooters badger H&N I doubt we will see much choice in the pellets range offered.

I wonder if there will ever be a non toxic .20 pellet made ? I hope so.

I wish H&N still made the FT & Bisley SuperField in .20, but as long as there are FTT's I have a super accurate Rapid.

The only rifle I have in .20 is a Theoben Sirocco 2000, I only bought it because I wanted to fill two holes in my collection, I wanted a gas ram and a .20 cal, I've never hunted with it, so I can't comment on the stopping power etc, although pellet choice is pretty bad, I was lucky with the Sirocco as I was advised .20 Theoben rammers only like two types of pellets, JSB's and H&N's, so that was pretty easy to find out which ones it liked, unlike other calibres which you may have to try ten different types before finding a suitable pellet (although nowadays I find AA's or JSB's go through most things accurately).

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

Thank you everyone for chiming in with your thoughts.

ive decided I’m going for another .20cal and as a result called my local shop for a price on an HW98. As this is special order they will have to get a price from the importer. Which used to be Hull, but I’m not sure who it is nowadays.

the next new post is going to be: recommend me a scope….

Squirrels are one of the quarry where you'll find out just how good 20 cal is at uk power, if you have 'good reason' to take out a crow or two as well, that will be illuminating too

A bit of a compromise though don't you think ? I've heard some batches of .20 FTT coming up a loose fit in the barrel.

.20 shooters, divided we stand and divided we will fall, unless we put our heads together and ask H&N to consider making one off batches of their old .20 pellet ranges.

As long as the quality is there, I would be happy to buy 20 plus tins of H&N Semi Hollow Points and back that up with a firm order.

What .20 pellets would you guys go for if the opportunity arose ?
