I've got some of the late 70's early 80's Sussex Armoury catalogues, brochures and price lists, if you're interested in photographing them at the next Kempton Arms Fair?

These might be of interest, I still have most of them:

Sussex Armoury Jackal parabelum 2852 1977

    Sussex Armoury Jackal 12969 1981

    Sussex Armoury Jackal AK47 13719 1982

Air Arms supra (sussex armoury trigger/action) 15488 1982

Air arms firepower (sussex armoury trigger/action) 17931 1984

Air Arms combat (improved air arms trigger/action) 20404 1984

    Air Arms EX88 38780 1988

    Air Arms Khamsin 44056 1990

I have a list of 40 rifles serial numbers and their dates if anyone wants them; actions, trigger groups, pistons, barrels, plastic stocks all had subtle changes over the years.

    Thank you Mr Gen,

That is just what I was after.

Can I ask - how have you dated the 1977 and 1981 models at the top of your list? Did you buy them new at the time or do they have some other provenance?

    Kind regards,

    John

If you have catalogues from 1978 and/or 1979, I'd like to photo them or see some hi res scans if you prefer to email me them over to avoid the risk of damaging the brochures at the fair?

    Kind regards,

    John

    Hi,

I have a mint woodstock / woodsman (can never tell which it is) with serial number 12337 which I bought second hand. From what I could tell at the time researching it was 1979/1980-ish.

I would guess 1976/77 - certainly first year of production.

    Kind regards,

    John

    Thanks Chris,

The Woodstock has a long barrel and the Woodsman has the short one.
