    Impressive 30/30 reloads

I was quite impressed, finding an entry in a USA website, with pics.. a load of 7gns of Bullseye with 150 gn cast bullet, possibly a Loverin, shot at 50 yards.. 19 rounds in a single hole of about 3/4 inch.. not sure about the rifle.. I will try the same with my Marlin.. I have a lot of cast bullets and some Bullseye.

Interesting. Sharpe's "Complete Guide to Reloading" doesn't mention Bullseye at all for the .30/30 but does have a couple of loads with 150gn lead using Unique (7 to 9 gns) and 2400 for higher velocities. It will be interesting to see the outcome with Bullseye.

Lyman 3rd edition has 6.8-9 of red dot and 6.5-8 of 700X on a 151 grn cast bullet. The highest loads are at maximum pressure. They dropped the really fast powders in the 4th edition. I suspect because of pressure concerns if the powder is at the front of the case.
