Once again Allan, that is a fantastic looking hunk of lumber you have truly done mother nature justice by creating something as beautiful as the tree it was born of......enough ass kissin.
I have this week bought myself another B.S.A. Lightning with the intention of doing something similar but thats where the similarity will end as I am not expecting anything near as perfect as yours, my plan is to make a variety of stocks that I can swap the gun between as and when I feel like it.
Is there anything I should do, or not do or look out for when undertaking a project like this.
How many have you made to get to the standard you are at now ?
    Keep carvin`

if you can get the wood have a go, it may take a couple attempts
but what have you got to lose.

    Nice work Allan.
A nice design and it appears to be finished flawlessly.
    You must be proud.
did you use linseed oil to finish it.

I finished the stock in laquer, as it's only for fun
shooting HFT after the FT comp

and to be honest this is only the second stock I have made
but I have always worked with wood and have all the tools needed
although I find the best tool the black and decker power file

Just like to say well done, what a beautiful stock. My Dad is a keen woodworker and has turned out some gorgeous ash furniture for us - I'll send him a link to your stock with a hint !

ATB and keep posting pictures of your work.

A great looking stock Allan, very impressive, and inspirational - now where did I put my chisels.

Apart from the fantastic design and craftmanship, I'm particulary impresssed by the way the stock has migrated from workshop to bedroom...
