Beech stocks are only around £70 new! Usually go for £35 or so on here secondhand.
Paint is probably best for finnishing if you start adding bits.
Hi folks,
I've decided Id like to make a second stock for my 410 for field target, and have another for hunting/general use, so Ive got two questions.
Firstly, how much and where best to buy a second 410 beech stock from? To modify into FT form that is. Cheap as possible. Seen them on **** for £70.
Secondly, if I sand down and modify the stock by adding and removing various parts, how best to finish it thereafter? Restain and revarnish with standard hard wearing satin varnish?
Thanks,
Rich

Paint? I should hope not!
Would it not work to sand the stock down, sand my additions down, then stain the whole lot with one stain? Probably wouldnt be identical, but close enough?
Anybody have a RH 410/400 Beech stock for sale?
Rich,
I have a spare r/h 410 beech stock, 98 percent perfect, with qd studs fitted. I might be prepared to flog it.
Cheers
Paul.
