    New stock

So after damaging the stock on my TX200HC when fitting a sling swivel set,
I put together a Heath Robinson repair and though I could live with it. Wrong!

Just ordered myself a new Walnut stock from AA and it should be here tomorrow or Friday.

I am going to keep the beech one for knocking about the barns with and the walnut
will be for high days and holidays.

Yes mate was aware that the new chequering will be available in the next few weeks,
but I didn't want to take the chance I didn't like it and then not be able to get an original
    one.

Will be happy enough with the walnut upgrade from beech.

I will but I now know that it is not a good idea to mount them near to the butt pad.

Will go on the pistol grip and the other end is barrel mounted so hopefully no more
    mistakes

I saw a recent feature in one of the airgun mags on how to fit them without splitting stocks.

Me too, that's what encouraged me to fit the sling in the first place
