SMK Th208 .177, likes accupels, good groups out to 35yrds.
I'm having trouble with Marksman pointeds, either that or my Beeman P17 pistol.
I'm resting the gun in as near as possible the same position each shot on a workmate (locating it in between the wooden clamps), and getting grouping of about 3.5" over 10 shots at about 6m.
Either they're atrocious pellets for the Beeman, or the gun has properly lost its marbles. Got some RWS Gecos on the way, so hopefully they'll remove all doubt as to what's causing the issue/what is the issue.
One thing I noted is that the Marksmans are terribly inconsistently manufactured, and there are an awful lot of scrap pellets in the tin.
Um, A) pointed pellets are crap.
B) Marksman isn't exactly the best pellet make I can think of

Yeah, yeah, I know Marksmans/pointeds are generally pap.
I'm just surprised they're apparently THIS bad! Hopefully it's the pellets, not the gun!
Back when I were a lad (!), Marksman pellets seemed to be the only brand you could buy. Maybe that's because they were the only brand that could be bought locally, and my Grandad CBA to go further to get something better!
Basically, to make sure it's not straying off topic... Avoid Marksman pointed
Why you'd want pointed pellets for shooting paper however is anyone's guess, to make sure you get a clean kill?![]()
They came with the gun!
Should have a tin of Gecos to play with tomorrow though.

Anyone used the Napia hunter in 177?
Put about a hundred through my HW97KT and they were absolutly atrocious.
At one point i thought it was either me or the rifle, but i aint that bad.
Was shooting 5 ten round groups at 30yds, at least ten missed the target altogether and hit the back stop behind.
Thanks Marcus
tx 200 mk 3 177 airarms field / falcons / accupels are all good
Cometa 300 .22 acupell, superdomes
Gamo falcon 177 hobbys
Just got back in from some shooting and lots of trying different pellets.
Have finally settled on Air Arms in 177 for my HW97k.
The best groping so far and really impressed with them.
Were even better with a couple of sprays of pellet lube from Napia.

Hi
I have found that the Air Arms Diablo Field pellets give me the most accurate and consistent pattern when used with my Daystate Harrier single shot zeroed at 100yds.
Good luck with the website which should be a help to many people - it took me a while to settle on the Air Arms.![]()
