    FWB genius

Yesterday afternoon I had what seems to be an increasingly rare opportunity to do some plinking with my beloved Feinwerkbau 65. It confirmed something I've felt for a long while: This is the most perfect air pistol ever made - especially for plinking.

No disrespect intended, but I can't imagine wanting any other pistol, except for collecting purposes (or if you needed a PCP to compete with). It's recoilless, self-contained, powerful, easy to cock, unbelievably accurate, built to outlast virtually any other air pistol and to go on and on, tin after tin, bullseye after bullseye, for tens of thousands of shots between services. Most of all it's great fun to shoot.

I've probably owned 30 or 40 or so spring or pump-up pistols in my lifetime. I still have a few. The FWB 65 is ahead of every other pistol in performance terms and is the last one I'd ever sell. You can still get them quite cheaply on egun.de, although for how long I don't know. Service parts are relatively cheap and plentiful at the moment too.

Garvin Yes I have been looking at the ones listed on egun. They seem to be rare in this country.I wonder how easy/difficult it is to have one sent over from Germany with the recent courier restrictions. What sort of power do they put out ?

I have to fully agree with the above as well.

THE best spring pistol (and possible best pistol of any kind) ever made.

Outstanding contributions to our knowledge of these pistols, Mark. Thanks for the effort that went it to putting them together. Fascinating stuff.
