    Martini Henry 1879 Video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V86cJ...em-uploademail

Hi chaps this video was made by a fellow club member whilst we were shooting in Wales.
I'm the last to shoot, my son before me.
It is one of four videos about Ben's Martini.
    Cheers

There's loads of palces and you can buy them off ticket to start with then get it added to your FAC if you want to shoot it, I'm looking to buy one, just do a search for Martini Henry on here and you will get plenty of info.

My friend had a Martini Henry which I used to shoot quite a lot.
I only shot it prone once as the recoil was unpleasent, most of the time I shot it kneeling.
On the back of the receiver on the right hand side was a checkered oval depression. The fist time I shot the rifle I wondered what it was for. After the recoil of the rifle had pushed my right thumb painfully into my nose I realised it was a place to put your thumb so you didn't hurt yourself while shooting.
I didn't find the trigger too bad but then again I wasn't comparing it to a .22lr target rifle.
I preferred my Snider as it didn't kick nearly as much and made big holes in the target.

    Try having a look at
    www.mjnoble.co.uk
He's got a good selection of Martinis in at present and his prices are pretty competitive.
