Well my no12 spring turned up today, it measures 300mm long and has 34 coils, so it's still different than the list but at least it fits the rear guide perfectly, that's all that matters at the moment.

    Hi all,

I was talking to a gunsmith who sells and uses Titan springs and he showed me a revised list after I had problems with a no12 spring being the wrong size according to the popular Titan list that is on the internet, the list below is what has been measured by the gunsmith I talked to.

NO- OD - ID - Wire- Coils- Length

    01- 21.0- 14.5- 3.2- 31- 280
    02- 22.7- 15.5- 3.6- 30- 291
    03- 20.8- 14.7- 3.2- 34- 304
    04- 22.6- 15.6- 3.6- 28- 252
    05- 19.0- 13.1- 3.0- 32- 290
    06- 19.7- 13.3- 2.9- 39- 341
    07- 20.0- 13.4- 3.3- 30- 255
    08- 20.0- 13.4- 3.3- 34- 295
    09- 21.0- 14.7- 3.3- 27- 280
    10- 21.0- 14.8- 3.1- 27- 230
    11- 18.8- 12.8- 3.0- 31- 230
    12- 18.9- 12.6- 2.9- 36- 295
    13- 19.4- 13.0- 3.1- 39- 340
    14- 22.7- 15.4- 3.6- 37- 358
    15- 17.5- 12.1- 2.3- 33- 254

    All measurement in millimeters.

    Hope it helps.

    cheers

    Pete

I see, like that is it, as soon as I make a horrid comment about a HW35 and you're all over it but when I work my fingers to the bone compiling a list to help all fellow mankind, you all of a sudden get distracted, well I'm afraid to say that I'm most upset with you young man

I shall now no longer be getting distracted by HW35 threads and will be putting my ill informed efforts into BSA threads instead.......and as that's the case, you may not hear much from me in future

Well I've just received a no8 spring and measured the ID and it measures 13.3mm at one end and 13.4mm at the other but looking at the list, if you take 6.6mm (2 x 3.3mm wire size) of the OD of 20mm then that works out to be 13.4, so I'd say the list is wrong, I'll correct it now.
