    My best ever springer grouping

    Merrily plinking away with my 97K I decided to move my target out to 55 yards and have a crack at it. Took a while to settle down then I entered 'the zone'[I] and did this;

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...rouping001.jpg

    Thats a 10 shot string using JSB 4.53's in a variable breeze. I was well chuffed.

    Of course the 40 shots before that .......

    were not so good.

    I cant believe I am going to sell it soon (and the Nikko Sniper that's on it) to pay for a decent photo printer

    No, every shot missed the corner of the PVC tape that I was using as an aim point. I was more than happy though.

    Is that 97 a standard model, or have you Venom'd or Macarri'd it or done a special lube job on it?

    Very impressive. What size were the warm-up groups? even if they were 2" its still excellent shooting with a £250 spring rifle.

    Nice shooting!

    Just goes to show what these classic rifles are capable of once the shooter is "in the zone".

    Gwylan, I was sat on me ****, with the gun rested on my left hand, my left hand resting on a steel pedal bin that happens to be the right height.

    Hsing-ee, the gun has had a Chambers kit fitted, warm up groups were about 1.5" depnding on how the wind had flared up.

    I could do that with a .22 BSA Meteor and open sights in a breeze

    Don't know you, but that is some shooting!!
