It's the tripod I was thinking of getting. Do you chaps have the tall one ? Can you still use it in the sitting position ?

They are adjustable from 62" down 24" great for sitting http://www.bushwear.co.uk/stalking-h...od-316957.html

I've got the bipod version, very useful sitting, kneeling & standing.

Only downside is having to carry the things while walking, it pretty much means either they or the rifle must shouldered on a sling so I tend to use a 27" Harris bipod more as it's quicker & quieter to deploy & tall enough to sit & kneel.

I think that even at their lowest they are too tall for shooting from a sitting position if you mean sitting on the ground, but others might have other experience

    Bipod is easier

Personally I am with Angrybear on this one.
I am happy with my light weight X3M1 bipod.
I can carry my rifle and can open the fully extended sticks with my left hand.
    Good for sitting too.
Only downside I had to replace the yoke strap which wore out.

I have two friends who swear by them, one shoots fox and the other deer.
I still plod on with my garden canes but on the odd occasion I've accompanied them I have been impressed with their Primos stick !
They're certainly light enough and are a great help on uneven or boggy ground.
Generally I've always coupled the use of sticks with woodland stalking and to be honest I've never used them on the open hill with no cover but that's just me.
I've never used them for Airgun hunting but I wouldn't hesitate to do so in the right situation.

Heya mate, i bought the primos tripod and it is brilliant from sitting standing or kneeling..

Very well made but still very light, check out prices on the bay.. got free fox call with mine so it picks up bunnies i shoot and steals them.

Thought about one of these for myself. Wondering if it's suitable for a springer as the V yoke looks a bit solid for resting on. I like to rest on my hand. Any info. on this?
