Somewhere I started a thread on who and where the Nagant Rifle and ( by default ) others are made -

Got given me a recent copy of Airgun Shooter and there was a piccy of this SMLE and the K98 coming too .
There is also an e-reader online sum'it thingey showing images stating July as release .

Think it fair to say things are delayed in getting them to the shops , but OP's link here shows a nicer lower price of £379 .
Somewhere saw it quoted as mid £400's
No info , doing a search brings nothing - Fps details , spares back-up . Who actually makes it would be nice to know ?
Very interested in the SMLE, as the No4 is something I have used a lot, and I owned a WWA/S&P air cartridge conversion back when you could (great fun, but also rubbish, it's saving grace being that it was a de-act that shot).
But, really, £400? For a plinker? I'm not saying I wouldn't, but £400 buys you a lot of "proper air rifle". Or a slightly dodgy used car.
About bloody time they brought out a British rifle, I'll be keeping an eye out for one of these, let's hope they bring out a STEN next
Pete
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
Good grief, I paid nearly that for my fully working .303 version!

Done my bit for the BBS: http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread....-being-a-mod-… now I’m a game-keeper turned poacher.
They are low powered bb guns.
And as such I would expect poor accuracy.
The full length Nagant doesn't even have a full length barrel, I am told.
For 400 quid they could at least have produced something with a rifled barrel and revolving pellet magazine?
Arthur
I wish I was in the land of cotton.
Yes, like the Umarex Walther Winchester.
Guessing here, but are the Mosin (etc) variants of a 6mm plastic ball airsoft gun? That would explain a lot.
I have recently spoken to one of the men behind this exiting rifle and offered them space to launch it at the Kempton Classic Arms Fair on October 15th, but it seems they may not be totally up to speed by then. I am told that they are being put through their paces and undergoing strict quality control.
With any luck they will be on a stand by our March 25th Fair.....
Sometimes the Internet does surprise me - and has it uses .
BINGO thats the Mosin and as expected made in Far East .
That doesn't bother me in the slightest but is nice to know where made - who made is a priority .
As collectors , how can we enjoy using /owning a gun , that we don't know anything about !
You would'nt tolerate it if it was a Webley , so ...
A BIG thanks to identifying Listone et all !
Lets sit back and hope this UK outfit can indeed get these in and out for sale .
[QUOTE=mrto;7339003]Do you know what fps you're getting from your MP40?[/QUOTE
I don't.
It's a question of taking it to the range when my mate has his chrono there.
Rarely coincide and I'm more interested in testing stuff that needs to be under 12 ft lbs.
Same with 7 1/2 Peacemakers that I still haven't done!
The MP 40 is adequate in my opinion.
Whereas the Mosin isn't.
