Is this one of those Chinese break barrels air rifles Peter?

From memory, they are available during the 1980s and the rearsight could not be adjusted laterally. They were cheap and cheerful and not many are seen on the second hand market. If it is what I'm thinking of, I'd guess £40-£50 unless I'm thinking of something completely different.

    Pete, I think your right.
Some time back I'm fairly sure there was a 1920/30's lightish break barrel rifle, nicely made, not tin plate, with an arrow stamped on the top of the breech. German I suspect.
This was for sale in CHWeston in Brighton. I think it was up for £170??? but, memory and all that! Give 'em a buzz, they may well remember it or even still have it.

I also remember this, Peter. I think it was marked Pfeil (arrow) and was a basic Millita-style rifle. Haven't seen one for a while.

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.

Yes, but I believe that was different because Haenel had an arrow as part of its trademark rather than it being the name of a particular model.
