    Pellet expansion test & conclusion

    Did my final batch of expansion testing, at least for the foreseeable future.
    Although at FAC power I think general airgun is the better place for it.

    Made up a 20% batch of "ballistic jell" in a block 200mm x 150mm x 150mm set out at 42yds which is both my .25 rapid zero range, & the sort of range rabbits & squirrels are shot.

    The results
    JSB Kings; passed straight through & in to the sandbag backstop, unable to find so no result but safe to say probably zero expansion.

    JSB Hades; 2 out of 3 passed straight through but bounced off the hession sand bag, no 3 was about 5mm from exiting the jell, minor expansion.

    JSB predator polymag; stopped after 80-90mm, full flattening & expansion.

    FX Hybrid slugs; passed straight through in to the sandbags but 2 of the 3 were not fully embedded so could be retrieved, minimal if any expansion.

    Conclusion;
    Frankly I'd stick with diabolo's rather than buy "gimmicks" although if accurate in your barrel the polymag do work
