    Hakim for sale.

Following on from my valuation thread, I’d like to put this Hakim up for sale at £400 now reduced to £340. As noted in the earlier thread, the replica shell deflector has been removed (though it’s a neat job) and the rear sight blade is missing (the cheap gamo diopter in the picture does job and is included in the sale though it’s nothing special). It’s making about 8 ftlbs and all works as it should, and really not bad condition for a nearly 70 year old air rifle that’s been in the not very tender hands of the Egyptian military

I would much rather not post. It’s quite heavy and if sent pf48 won’t be insured beyond £100. Possibly it would get under the rmsd size limits if the action and stock are separated. If you want it posted at your risk and cost then that’s ok, otherwise it’s collection from Bath or next months Kempton please.

    Many thanks.

I'd be quite surprised if you could package this rifle within the RMSD size limits, even if you split the action from stock. My recollection from owning one once is that the Hakim is a pretty long gun.

I think your right, the lower stock is one piece so nearly the full length of the gun.

Yes, correct, doh. It would have to be pf48 then if posted.

and therefore a max compensation of £100 - even if you purchased more insurance, airguns are specifically exempt from enhanced compensation

Arrived today. Superb. Couldn't resist so fixed the rearsight and fettled/lubed, then clean/oiled the stock.

    Delighted, many thanks!
