Something compact would go well with a Goldstar, a Tasco World class 2-8x32, 4x32 or 1.75-5x20, depending what it is being used for.
Had a "boxed" .22 BSA Goldstar for sometime now and I was going to keep it that way, however, I've decided to put some Glass on it and take it out !
What should I mount on it, something "period" I reckon ?
Simmo WTC 3.5-10x40.
Simmo WTC 3.5-10x50.
Simmo Pro Air.
Tassie 3-9x50AG.
Something else maybe ?

Gotta be something period, maybe a nice low mag Tasco AG or Optima.

Just stop faffing about, put a scope on it and shoot the damn thing.
Pete
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
Remember the the guy doing hunting articles a while back, writing in AGW, "Jim" something or other ? Him n his buddy Carl.
"Jimbo" had a WTC 3.5-10x50 on his Goldie and his mucker had a 3-9x50AG on his 80 !
USE ?......nowt special, might take it out to bag a bunny or two but thats all.
Just off-loaded my 1.5-5x20 and an Optima also !

“An airgun or two”………
I've got a 56mm Tasco Titan on mine which suits it well. Nice big solid scope on a nice big solid rifle.
Got a nice 3.5-10x40 WTC that'll probably have to do !

Maybe a mint Optima with PA.
Likewise for a Japanese Tasco.
Wouldn't even mind a recent Leup. EFR or Pecar !
However, having just flogged a 95 without the Bushnell Legend 3-9x40 that sat on it, it now looks a good bet I'll use that !
Not really "period" but a great scope.
