Hello,
I need pic of the front of the "flash hider" or "silencer" which was factory-mounted on the Sussex Armoury Jackal AR7 Hunter / Air Arms Combat. Here
http://s106.photobucket.com/user/Pad...on013.jpg.html
you can see it in a side-view at the muzzle of the Jackal.
"Front" means a view from the front and/or with an angle of 45° to see whether it is smooth ending with the muzzle or has a hole like "silencers" or else.
Regards

Yes, thanks.
Surprise, surprise, it looks like the front view of the flash hider of the Enfield Jungle Carbin. So this devie is in the front inside funnel-shaped and and the metal, what is visible on the bottom, ist just the end of the barrel with the muzzle? How long is this "free" part of the funnel?

Thanks. But I am not sure understanding correct. Please have a look at
http://home.arcor.de/wlk/ar7muz.jpg
I have added just symbolic the barrel in grey (has D = 14mm, as far as I know)
Do I understand correct that
j = Depth from front face to end of muzzle = 28mm
h = Depth from front face to 'bottom of funnel' = approx. 20mm
k = Length of tapered exterior section = approx. 24mm
l = Outside diameter at 'end of funnel' = 28mm
Would you please add the dimensions of a - g ... ?
And what is the "thickness" of the wall of the funnel?

Do you sure this dimensions are correct?
I am asking because:
I have a pic of the flash hider with a yardstick, so I can see that the length of the flash hider on the pic is around 3,66" = 93,1mm. "Counting" the pixels I can calculate the diameter and the end of the muzzle /funnel) to around 1,18" = 30mm.
On this pic is also the front part of the stock with slingholder etc. The height of the stock at it´s end can be calculated to around 2,69" = 68 mm. This is nearly the real height I can measure at my Jackals and so the evidence for the correct calculating reg. the flash hider.
Because of the possibility that there are different kinds of flash hider I have performed this at your (?) other pics at flickrs which show the AR7 from the side. The results are nearly the same (don´t care about the very small tolerances due to the unsharp visible details).
But 2mm are a difference of 7% and drawing this 28mm diameter in the pic results in a obviously difference which can no caused by the tolerances due to unsharpness or else.
Maybe you did not use a yardstick in mm but in yards? Without offending - the usual yardsticks I know did not allow measurements, only estimatings.
