John, you should of asked about a bloody break barrel
A while ago there were"musings" on here that Air Arms may be introducing the above soon ?
Yesterday down at the BS Show, I had a good chat with the chaps at AA on their stand putting the said question to them !
They said quite firmly that they had no plans now or in the imediate future to introduce a forth version of the air rifle as the current Mk. 3 was doing so well !
I think we all knew that anyway.
Other Q's asked were;
When are you going to produce a left handed walnut stock for the ProSport ?
A. When we get 500 orders for them !
Q. Why don't you make And reintroduce the TX200 SR. ?
A. Oh, so you've gone off the idea of a Lefty ProSport !
There you have it !
“An airgun or two”………
John, you should of asked about a bloody break barrel
B ell, right I should have !
Forgot that one !
They had a display with many of their past rifles, all bloody lovely including an Elite that had been engraved "Don B style", similarly a ProSport !
Considering what has happened to the British Airgun manufacturing industry, I think we should be thankful we still have a successful British company like AA producing great products !
“An airgun or two”………
The '77 didn't have a concentric piston transfer port set up or a free rotating piston. The TX can be dismantled without taking the trigger out without hardly any pre load . The PE had a far greater muzzle energy and again a free rotating piston and central transfer port compared to the '80. These AA rifles aren't really a rip off of any rifle; at-least I don't think so

Hee hee hee!!
On a slightly more serious note, if not a break barrel, it'd be lovely if they did a sidelever. TX-stylee with sliding comp tune etc. I guess many parts could be shared, helping keep development costs lower. And with a nod to some of those beautiful early side-swingers like the Khamsin and Camargue.

My overall impression on taliking to the AA Guys (and a Lady) were, that the company operate on very sound principals, know what they want to make and know where they're going !
Nowt wrong with that in my book !
