Not sure where you got those figures from but the other Titan listings says different as well as the Bagnall and Kirkwood site.

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
That website info is wrong
Those other figures taken from their e b ay listing .
I promise you a no 12 is not 22.8 od and 3.65 mm
It's just under 19 od and 2.9
Don't know about the others but the figs I posted are a copy paste from the auction site listing .
I know they look Mickey Mouse and home made but that's just how they came out of my laptop.
If any one knows how to screen shot that page and put it up it might Have more credibility.
That's interesting as I need a longer spring with the same figures as no11 and the no12 would be almost perfect, I have a Welsh Willy tuning kit in my short stroke project rifle I'm doing at the moment and I know he uses Titan springs, I measured the original spring that came in the kit and the figures where the same as a no11, so I bought another no11 spring hoping it would be longer but the new spring is exactly the same length (even though the figures in the list said it was longer), now if the figures for a no12 spring are as you say then that is going to be a longer spring which will help with upping the power, I think I'll go measure the no11's length and see if it's under 295 (just in case the figures in the list is wrong) and then go from there.
Many thanks for the info.
Pete
PS just measured the no11 spring I have and that comes out at 235mm, the list says 230, so even that bit of info is wrong.

Yep got a brand new , no 12 here that measures 305 compared with the list at 295 and a no 6 that measures 345 compared with the list at 341
i think production tolerances come into play here . IT might be sensible to give some latitude to the quoted numbers.
Of course the makers can control the gauge of wire that they use , so the listed size for that should be pretty close ( to give wire sizes down to 0.01mm seams a bit daft though ), the no of coils would be within their control too.
They would probably be affected by manufacturing tolerances on OD , ID and length, although i agree it's curious how they come to od vs id numbers that don't correspond to 2 x wire thickness .....
I cant answer that and It's a bit of a fudge to say that the figures should be taken as approximate. That is how i use them .
These are not my figures . I found them on the listing . I have been using them as approx rather than absolutely perfect , and they have served me adequately so far.
The main reason for posting these numbers was to highlight the error about the no 12 dimensions in the original list .
I had "spoken " to 2 experienced tuners who were both ignoring the 12 because they were using the incorrect numbers in the original table .
I have a no12 hopefully on it's way, so I'll see what I'm up against when it arrives, all this short stroking is witchcraft to me, I did get some tuning advice from Jon Budd last year when I first got the rifle and he suggested getting a longer spring to help up the power, the trouble is there are so many different things that can effect power and the such and I just go by what other people who know what they are talking about, I may try a little weight in the piston first to see what that does and then muck about with the longer spring.

Well my no12 spring turned up today, it measures 300mm long and has 34 coils, so it's still different than the list but at least it fits the rear guide perfectly, that's all that matters at the moment.

Hi all,
I was talking to a gunsmith who sells and uses Titan springs and he showed me a revised list after I had problems with a no12 spring being the wrong size according to the popular Titan list that is on the internet, the list below is what has been measured by the gunsmith I talked to.
NO- OD - ID - Wire- Coils- Length
01- 21.0- 14.5- 3.2- 31- 280
02- 22.7- 15.5- 3.6- 30- 291
03- 20.8- 14.7- 3.2- 34- 304
04- 22.6- 15.6- 3.6- 28- 252
05- 19.0- 13.1- 3.0- 32- 290
06- 19.7- 13.3- 2.9- 39- 341
07- 20.0- 13.4- 3.3- 30- 255
08- 20.0- 13.4- 3.3- 34- 295
09- 21.0- 14.7- 3.3- 27- 280
10- 21.0- 14.8- 3.1- 27- 230
11- 18.8- 12.8- 3.0- 31- 230
12- 18.9- 12.6- 2.9- 36- 295
13- 19.4- 13.0- 3.1- 39- 340
14- 22.7- 15.4- 3.6- 37- 358
15- 17.5- 12.1- 2.3- 33- 254
All measurement in millimeters.
Hope it helps.
cheers
