    HW 55T.177 Valuation

    Hello all,

Had this for a while.Thinking of parting with it.
Apparently it was ex sporting shop stock from early 70s. Condition wise, its like it left the factory. I have not used it.
You can see it has many extras like main springs and barrel sleeves/weights,wallet foresight's, etc and etc.
Even has a card of HW matches??
    Brady cased.

Would appreciate your thoughts on valuation.

    Thank you

    Paul.

A really nice example. You don't see many with the barrel weight. The weights came in 400 grams and 900 grams, which was a little too heavy for this rifle in my opinion. Value I would say £600-£700 I had a nice one for sale about 2 years ago for £375. And couldn't sell it!!! They dont fetch the high prices some folks think they are worth. I dare say i'll be but right in a few minutes by more wise bbs members. Mach 1.5

Agree with Mach 1.5, value £600 to £700. I couldn't see the HW diopter these usually have. Does it have one?

I would have thought £500-£700 is about right. That's a once-in-a-lifetime timewarp kit.

If nobody came forward at the higher end, somewhere around £500-£550 should guarantee a sale.

Missed that, assume that's the serial no of the rifle on the box?

Very pretty, no idea on price, think I payed around £250 for one shipped from Holland.
But that was a complete used gun and not an as left the factory boxed one like yours.

I’m surprised these don’t go for more, but I suppose we don’t have the target shooting scene that the Europeans had for these guns or it’s all dominated by pcp’s these days.

But still a lovely piece of history, that I’m sure you won’t have a problem finding a home for

    Extraordinary time capsule rifle.

Looking at the pics, but before reading other comments, my reaction was at least £600, probably more like £650, and you might as well ask £750 because the right buyer might well, I think, pay it.

Agreed, never seen one with all the little stickers and booklets etc, let alone the original diopter box and unfitted barrel weight.

I paid £420 at auction for a nice one without the barrel weight (prefer the balance without)

If the serial number on the box matches the rifle then it was made between 1972-1973. Same age as me.

    Very desirable set.

    Cheers,
    Matt

A true collectors piece and as it has my name upon it

Is the 55T marked with a F pentagram on the breech block, as I'm wondering which country of origin it was first for sale in ?

Very rare complete set with a Weihrauch hang tag "75 years" so maybe a aniversary set?
With the Tyro stock, barrel weight and boxed diopter complete with all the manuals etc, when do you think you will find another set like this one?
    And all is "mint"!!
When sold on that German auction site it might go REAL high.
Have seen crazy prices lately for good and rare German collectables.
