No I'm not saying that. Lots of rifles out there don't have bear traps . Any part can fail as we have seen on the Diana .
Yes the 77/97 issue should be fixed but so should any other brands that have a known fault.
Yes 3 or so Diana sears have failed. How many more potential ones are out there ? A possible fatality waiting to happen and Diana 's response ?
Contact umarex. Yes umarex maybe the importer but Diana is the parent company and looks like they have passed the buck to the importers .
Did you contact Diana ? What was their reply to you ?
Slating one company is not good when your beloved Diana seems to be doing the same .
Did a member on here not have one that broke ? He replied to your thread. Plus the one in the states?
Post #27 on the thread you started. One from look no hands .
On the subject of bear traps. http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread....hw77-bear-trap
Did you not comment on this post about some one wanting to REMOVE one?
Might not work like others brands bear traps but it's got one fitted , correct ?

The only other one in the states is the 48 you mentioned and that was unclear with no evedence and the other was I think Pete on here but again no pics for evedence. As far as I know only one prooven to fail and anyway nothing heard of since, it's not in any airgun mag as a known fault, or is it
If this has been a known problem surely HW should have made a fix by now.? It's getting sent back, considering its lasted 500 shots ish.!! I Would expect a replacement part.
Or do we expect the same as VW owners and get fobbed off.

Sf010 bear trap slide - long.
Does that mean there is a bear trap fitted?

Oh look .it's on the hw 77 too

unless they have the wrong pics at hamersley or they don't fit them now
This does not mean an anti-beartrap is fitted. This part, sf010, is a part that only stop the trigger from being pulled when the cocking lever is down. The Diana and the AA TX200 actually have a ratchet like mechanism that will stop the comp. tube slamming home, if there is a failure in the trigger or the tip of the center rod in the piston snaps. Mark I TX's also have no beartrap, but I've shot 100,000 shots with one and still have my fingers.
